Book Discussion authors are encouraged to speak in their own voices.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Reviews are not limited to traditional book formats and may include discussions on media objects: e-books, videos, sound, etc. (referred to as book in this document).<\/p>\n

Book discussions are not reports but are critical and reflective discussions and analysis of the book\/media object by placing the book with .<\/p>\n

Discussion should not be over 1000 words.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Reviewers are requested to contact the VJIC book review editor with a short proposal providing a rational for reviewing the book (why this book is important and deserves a review).<\/p>\n

\u2022 Authors are to include a video introduction, video \u201casides\u201d to enhance and expand upon the review\/analysis, and a video summary.\u00a0 We also request a short 10-15 second introduction for use on the issue\u2019s content page.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Reviewers are responsible for sending any required copyright permission letters to the book review editor, as well as contact information of the book author (name, email, web site).<\/p>\n

Reviewers are responsible for proof-editing their manuscript.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 After acceptance of the proposal, a working (writing) space will be set up on the journal\u2019s site; a username and password assigned.\u00a0Once approved the review will be scheduled for publication. \u00a0All questions and inquiries should be sent to the book review editor at: vjic-bookrevieweditor@vasa-project.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Note<\/strong>: The video asides are used to provide, in a conversational mode, an expansion and enhancement of the reviewer\u2019s position, the context of the reviewed book\/object, and other information that will enhance the reader\u2019s understanding and appreciation.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The author may also embed YouTube videos or other materials.\u00a0 Where copyright permission is needed, it is the responsibility of the author to request and receive permission.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
