• Reviewers are requested to contact the VJIC book review editor with a short proposal providing a rational for reviewing the book (why this book is important and deserves a review).

• Authors are to include a video introduction, video “asides” to enhance and expand upon the review/analysis, and a video summary.  We also request a short 10-15 second introduction for use on the issue’s content page.

• Reviewers are responsible for sending any required copyright permission letters to the book review editor, as well as contact information of the book author (name, email, web site).

Reviewers are responsible for proof-editing their manuscript.

• After acceptance of the proposal, a working (writing) space will be set up on the journal’s site; a username and password assigned. Once approved the review will be scheduled for publication.  All questions and inquiries should be sent to the book review editor at: vjic-bookrevieweditor@vasa-project.com.

Note: The video asides are used to provide, in a conversational mode, an expansion and enhancement of the reviewer’s position, the context of the reviewed book/object, and other information that will enhance the reader’s understanding and appreciation.

The author may also embed YouTube videos or other materials.  Where copyright permission is needed, it is the responsibility of the author to request and receive permission.

Other formatting information may be found on the manuscript guideline page.
